Learning More About Sales Has Me Excited for the Future
When I started my company, I hit the market at just the right time. No one else in the area was selling what I was, so anyone who wanted my products had to come to me. The market soon got saturated, and I started to notice that my sales were dropping as of last year. I am not the type of person to take something like that sitting down, so I decided to learn more about sales training. I had faith in my product, but I did have to convince the customer why they should go with me rather than a competitor.
It helped that I was the first in the area, so I had a good reputation from that. I needed more than that though, and I was able to learn about new sales techniques from a three day sales training seminar that I went to. I shut down my business for those three days, knowing that it was well worth it since I would be learning how to convince people to buy off of me when I re-opened my doors to the public. I was primed to learn, and that is exactly what happened.
I learned about the different kinds of customers that exist, and I was surprised that I did not notice this on my own. I learned how to interact with each kind of customer. The one that I liked best was the difficult customers who always have lots of objections. They are the ones who make you shake your head, wondering why they even walked into the shop in the first place. Learning how to deal with them was pretty amazing though, and the techniques I learned really do work. I am now at the top of my game once again, and I could not be more excited about what my future holds.
